Dots & Boxes by Tamaki is a line-drawing board game. It does not create accounts or sell information about you.

The Android app uses Google AdMob to show a banner on the home screens and an occasional full-screen ad when you leave a table. Google and its partners may collect device identifiers, IP address, and usage data to serve and measure ads. See how Google uses information from apps. You can pay once through Google Play to remove ads. Google handles that purchase. We do not see your card number. The website itself does not show these ads.

Play on this device stays on your phone or computer. The name you type, mute setting, box-closing hints, and a random seat id are stored only on that device so the next sitting can remember who you are.

Online rooms are optional. When you host or join, your display name, room code, and board moves go to the Dots & Boxes room server so the other player can play with you. That data is kept only while the room is alive. We do not ask for an email, phone number, or payment card. Traffic to the room server uses HTTPS.

Invite links include a short room code. Anyone with the link can try to join that sitting, so share them with people you mean to play with.

The Android app needs internet permission so those rooms can connect and so ads can load. Local play still works if you never host or join.

You can delete local data by clearing the app’s storage.

Dots & Boxes is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
